About the Breed

The Nigerian Dwarf is a small yet productive dairy breed, known for its wide variety of beautiful color patterns and charming presence. Their compact size makes them easy to handle and economical to keep, while their exceptionally sweet, friendly, and affectionate personalities truly set them apart. At Silverberry Acres, our goal is to thoughtfully improve the breed through sound genetics—focusing on conformation, milk production, show quality, and well-rounded temperaments—while also raising goats that make wonderful companion animals and cherished family pets. Nigerian Dwarf goats are prized for their rich, high-butterfat milk, which is naturally creamy and gentle on the skin. This luxurious milk is the heart of our handcrafted products here at Silverberry Acres. We use fresh milk from our own herd in our small-batch soaps and skincare items, creating products that are nourishing, moisturizing, and made with care from farm to finish.
